Engraving options

As you browse through the leather products that can be engraved you’ll see several options available to you for personalisation.

Where a product can only be engraved in one place there will be the following options:

STANDARD

The standard option allows you to engrave up to 4 letters on the front of the product in our ‘House Font’, Byington with, or without, punctuation. For example NVLC or N.V.L-C. Simply type the letters you want into the text box provided on the product page.

BESPOKE

The bespoke option allows you to handwrite your name, or select a (free) font of your choice. You will need to send us your artwork, so there is no need to fill in the text box on the product page. Please use our simple guide to ensure you take and send the best possible pictures of your penmanship!

NB – Please be aware the space for engraving is very limited on the Berkeley. As a guide, four standard initials at font size 12 fit perfectly. We can of course make words smaller and accomodate more letters however, you should bear in mind that the smaller the engrave the less visible it will be. We will let you know if we forsee any issues!

Where a product can be engraved in two places you can choose from four engraving options:

STANDARD

As above.

BESPOKE EXTERNAL

This option allows you to create your own handwritten name for the exterior of the product. Alternatively, you can choose a font of your choice (as long as it’s free! We recommend this webiste for inspiation). The interior will remain blank. You will need to send us your artwork, so there is no need to fill in the text box on the product page. Please use our guide to help you produce and dispatch the best possible pictures of your writing!

BESPOKE INTERNAL

This option allows you to create your own artwork- handwritten words, pictures, or even a font of your choice, for engraving internally. The front cover will remain blank. You will need to send us your artwork, so there is no need to fill in the text box on the product page. Please use our guide to help you produce and dispatch the best possible pictures of your work!

DELUXE
Push the boat out and have whatever you like, internally and externally (or on both sides in the case of our messenger tag!) Just remember to use our guide to ensure you get the best results from all your efforts!

Where a product can only be stamped in one place:

As standard you can select up to 4 characters to be traditionally hot foil stamped on the front of the product in our ‘House Foiling Font’, York. Please note only capital letters are available and punctuation will count towards your characters. For example four characters could either be NVLC or N.V. Simply type the letters you want into the text box provided on the product page. Please note, if you enter more than 4 characters, we will use the first four which appear in the box.

You will also be asked to select the foil colour you wish to fill the letters with choosing from gold, silver or copper.

Where a product can be engraved in two places:

ADD SECRET MESSAGE

You can also choose to create your own secret message, or picture, for the interior of the product. You can handwrite your note, or alternatively you can choose a font of your choice (as long as it’s free! Check out this website for inspiration).

You will need to send us your message artwork or font instruction after ordering, so there is no need to enter any information about your message before purchasing. Simply click ‘Yes’ to Add Secret Message? Please feel free to refer to our guide to help you produce and supply the best possible pictures of your writing, if that is your preference!
